An attempted traffic stop lead to a chase that ended with a vehicle hitting a house.

It happened on Sept. 23 at 8:51 p.m. in Mt. Pleasant.

Officers said they tried to stop a minivan on Isabella Road, just south of Pickard Street for a traffic violation.

That’s when officers said the suspect, 40-year-old Mack Davis, from Mt. Pleasant, hit the gas, and turned down Crosslanes Street.

But when the minivan failed to negotiate a T-intersection at Crosslanes and Kane, it left the road and hit a house.

After the crash Davis took off, according to police, while a passenger was detained.

Investigators set up a perimeter between Chippewa, Broadway, Russell and Brown Streets and were able to find Davis at around 9:56 p.m.

One woman in the house had minor injuries, she was treated and released from the hospital.

Davis was charged with multiple charges including fleeing a police officer and reckless driving.
