FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

The debate is over and both candidates are back on the trail as the nation discusses who won the first big stand-off.

While the candidates themselves are hard at work they heavily rely on their supporters to spread the message as well.

Jesse Jackson for Hillary Clinton

Big name Reverend Jesse Jackson made a quick stop at the Flint MTA Terminal to press the message that everyone needs to vote and to register before the October 11th deadline.

Jackson, who is vocal about his support for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, told a group of about 50 people the importance of this election.

He vowed his support for Clinton, saying he believes she has the policies that will improve lives of Flint residents.

One of his main talking points was the Flint water crisis and how he thinks it will be best addressed if Clinton wins in November.

"Hillary speaks of a $100 billion investment in infrastructure. That's the right direction for a nation to go in. Every vote counts and everybody counts and everybody matters, so people must not allow the distractions or noise to take them off the agenda. It's not about personal attacks, it's about public policy, it's about jobs that pay,” Jackson said.

Jackson also visited Detroit and Pontiac to urge more people to get out and vote.

Flash mob for Donald Trump

Donald Trump supporters were also busy in Mid-Michigan.

A sign wave flash mob came to an end in Saginaw. It was part of the second state-wide flash mob effort.

Supporters gathered at the GOP headquarters on the Bay Plaza, pushing for their candidate who they said won last night's debate against Clinton.

"We're just so excited Mr. Trump's going to be our president," said one supporter.

"He's going to be great. Make American stronger again," said another.

Supporters hosted a tailgate party at the same spot following the flash mob.
