GENESEE COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is re-opening the northbound I-75 ramp at Bristol Road in Genesee County and begin constructing the inside lanes of Bristol Road.

Traffic will shift onto the newly constructed roundabout.

This is part of a $3 million investment to create the roundabout on Bristol Road, adjacent to I-75 and the General Motors plant entrance.

The move is expected to help with traffic congestion in the area, and improve safety.

The project is expected to wrap-up in November.
