HURON COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

A Pigeon man was seriously hurt Tuesday in a farming accident.

It happened about 3:02 p.m. at 1891 Pinnebog Road in Huron County’s Colfax Township.

Investigators said 36-year-old Michael Prich was working on a silage pile with a hydraulic silage defacer, which was attached to the loader of a ford tractor, when the defacer somehow disconnected and fell on top of the cab-less tractor.

Once freed from the defacer, Prich was rushed to the hospital by a private vehicle with a head injury. From the hospital, he was flown by helicopter to an out of county hospital.

He was last listed in serious condition.

Police are still investigating.
