Man investigating noise shot in his backyard

FLINT TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -

A man was shot multiple times after going into his backyard to investigate a noise.

It happened on Sept. 28 at 11:40 p.m. in the 1000 block of Whittemore Avenue in Flint Township.

Police report that a 35-year-old man heard a noise, and when he went outside to track it down, he encountered the gunman in his yard.

The suspect ran off, and at last check the victim was in critical condition.

It is not believed that the incident is related to recent home invasions in Flint Township.
