MIDLAND COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

A teen has been returned home after police say she left with a man she met on Facebook.

Now, the man is facing charges.

Deputies with the Isabella County Sheriff’s Office were called about 1:49 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24 to a home in the 11000 block of East Pickard Road in Chippewa Township for reports of a runaway.

The mother of the 15-year-old female told police she believed her daughter may have left with a man from the Detroit area.

During the investigation, the Midland County Sheriff’s Office brought the teen back to the home after the man was pulled over while driving on a suspended license and obstruction of justice.

Police learned the girl had been talking with the man via Facebook. In the conversations, the suspect asked for graphic photos from the girl, officials said.

The teen told police the man talked about drinking alcohol and have sex with her.

The suspect is now booked in the Midland County Jail pending charges, including providing a false identity after a finger print check found the man gave a false name.

Charges for accosting for immoral purposes have also been sent to the prosecutor’s office.

The suspect’s name will not be released until after arraignment.
