DETROIT (WNEM/AP) -

A 23-year-old man and a teenage boy have been charged in connection with the death of a pregnant former Mid-Michigan woman whose body was found in a vacant house in Detroit.

The Wayne County prosecutor's office says Jacob Barnes of Lincoln Park and 16-year-old Jeremy Lee of Detroit are expected to be arraigned Thursday on murder, assault of a pregnant individual causing the death of a fetus and mutilation of a dead body charges.

Prosecutors say 29-year-old Amanda Benton of Melvindale, previously from Gladwin, was beaten Sept. 26 and driven to the vacant house in Southwest Detroit. Her body was set on fire. Benton was a mother of 4 and was approximately five months pregnant.

Her mother tells TV5 Benton lived in Gladwin for 8 years before moving a couple of months ago.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 10 a.m. at Messiah Church on Toledo Street in Detroit.

A wake will be held immediately following the service at The Southwest Alano Club.

Barnes and Lee were arrested Friday. Lee is being charged as an adult.

Court records did not list attorneys for Barnes and Lee.
