SAGINAW TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -

A school put into lockdown after a comment was made online.

Saginaw Township Police Chief Donald Pussehl tells TV5 that a White Pine Middle School student admitted to sending an Instagram text to another classmate at the school.

The message from “Casey the Clown” essentially said that Casey was going to White Pine, and to be prepared.

Pussehl tells TV5 that it was a prank and not a credible threat.

The 11-year-old went home with her parents, the school is dealing with the issue internally.
