Mid-Michigan residents react to Donald Trump's remarks

Posted: Updated:

"My first reaction was that Donald was once again being a pig," said Bill Heatley

Bill Heatley says Donald Trump made some pretty disgusting remarks in a newly released video taken in 2005. He wouldn't want the presidential nominee as a neighbor but he is still going to vote for him.

"I wouldn't want my children around him. I have two daughters. I have two grand daughters. I wouldn't want them anywhere near the man. I think he has a good business sense. I still think he is the lesser of the two evils," said Bill Heatley

Heatley likes to discuss politics with his neighbor George Guinn. Who has a much different opinion about the vulgar remarks. He says this is good for Hillary Clinton.

"The country will rally behind Hillary because they are trumping up the trump campaign," said George Guinn

Cassie Nemitz says she's applauded and hopes it will change the minds of people who are on the fence.

"I certainly hope so. It changed my mind. I just feel like he should not be running the United States with that mind set," said Cassie Nemitz

Michelle Dam says the comments are ugly, But it doesn't change who she would vote for.

"I would honestly still side with trump because of the values that Hillary has. I am a christian and a lot of the things she says does not line up with my faith. I don't think he would be the best republican candidate but I don't agree with Hillary," said Michelle Dam

Bill Heatley says there is very little Donald Trump could do that would change his mind about the election.

"People have to go beyond what the candidates are saying to them on the screen and do a thorough investigation," said Bill Heatley
