TUSCOLA COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Investigators are looking for a man accused of using a rock to break into a home.

A person who lives on Swaffer Road near Washburn Road in Tuscola County called the sheriff’s department at 11:34 a.m. on Oct. 8 after returning home to find a man leaving his house.

The homeowner reportedly confronted the man, and took his car keys.

That’s when the homeowner told investigators that words were exchanged and the suspect then acted like he had a weapon.

The homeowner returned the suspect’s car keys and he took off in a rusty maroon Dodge Durango that should have minor damage to the rear passenger side bumper.

The suspect is about 5’9”, in his twenties with a thin scraggly mustache and was wearing a green beanie style hat.

The homeowner told investigators the only thing that appears to be missing is a Shindaiwa weedwacker that is either orange or red in color.

If you have any information on the incident, call Tuscola County Central Dispatch at 989-673-8738 or Deputy Jacobs at 989-673-8161 ext 4011.
