LAPEER COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Police need your help identifying an armed robbery suspect.

It happened on Friday, Oct. 14 about 2:29 a.m. at the Beacon and Bridge gas station on N. Lapeer Road in Mayfield Township.

A 19-year-old store clerk told deputies he was stocking shelves when the male suspect entered the building. The man walked behind the counter to the cash register.

The employee said he encountered the man and the suspect showed a weapon and demanded cash. The employee gave an undisclosed amount from the register to the suspect and then the man fled the store on foot and headed south toward Lapeer.

The 19-year-old was not hurt.

The suspect is described as a white male around 5’10” tall. He weighs between 180 and 200 pounds and is believed to be between 30 and 40 years old.

The man was wearing a black ski mask, blue coat, dark pants and dark shoes. He had blond facial hair beneath his mask, the employee said.
