FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

A man was arrested after he led police on a chase and crashed into a sheriff's car.

It happened about 6:30 p.m. on the north side of Flint.

Officers with the Michigan State Police attempted to stop a vehicle with an improper license plate when the driver failed to stop, leading police on a chase, police said.

The Genesee County Sheriff's Department assisted MSP in the chase. A sheriff vehicle and MSP tried to box in the suspect. That's when he rammed the sheriff's vehicle, police said. That happened at Lewis near Frances.

The pursuit continued, but eventually ended when MSP utilized a precision immobilization technique at Dodge and Henderson.

The suspect was then taken into custody.

No one was injured during the incident.

The suspect has a suspended driver's license, improper plates and no insurance. He also has an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
