Three people have been arrested after police found a man dead from a heroin overdose.

Saginaw Police were called to the 1000 block of S. Michigan Avenue for reports of a death by possible drug overdose.

When they arrived they found a 37-year-old Saginaw man had died after allegedly using heroin.

During the investigation, a 30-year-old Bay City man, a 19-year-old Saginaw man and a 17-year-old Saginaw man were arrested for delivery of a schedule 1 controlled substance causing death.

There have been 12 narcotics overdose deaths inside the city of Saginaw this year, investigators said. First responders who administered Nalaxone (Narcan) helped to prevent seven additional deaths.
