ROSCOMMON COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

If you’re heading out to the woods to hunt, Michigan State Police are advising taking all your gear with you when you leave.

Troopers out of the Houghton Lake Post have taken multiple reports from hunters who have gone out to their blind only to find items missing.

The thefts seem to be happening in the area off Snowbowl Road, south of Houghton Lake in Roscommon County.

One man went to the post on the 13th to report a heater and 2 trail cameras had been stolen from his pop-up blind.

Troopers say this happens every year.
