Police identify 70-year-old man killed in house fire

TUSCOLA COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Michigan State Police have released the name of an elderly man killed over the weekend in a house fire. 

It happened on Saturday, Oct. 22 about 8:30 p.m. on Wireline Road, west of M-24 in Tuscola County's Indianfields Township. 

When firefighters arrived they found the home fully engulfed. Once the fire was extinguished they found the body of 70-year-old Theodore Dorics, Jr.

Officials said Dorics lived in the home alone. 

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
