FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

Authorities are searching for the parents or guardian of a toddler found wandering in Flint.

Police were called to the 3600 block of Easthampton for reports of a two or three-year-old child who was found outside alone around 1 a.m. Monday. It's unknown how long the child was wandering alone, but investigators said the person who found the boy did not hesitate to call 911.

The child is described as a black male with light complexion. He was wearing a long sleeve pajama shirt and no pants. He is about 2’5” tall and weighs around 30 pounds. No photo has been released by police at this time.

Officers went door-to-door trying to find out where the child belongs but the canvass was unsuccessful.

The boy was taken to a local hospital where doctors found no other concerns.

He is currently in the custody of Child Protective Services.

Anyone with information is asked to call Lt. Jason Cate at 810-237-6933 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-422-JAIL.
