MIDLAND, MI (WNEM) -

A couple of road surface markings that left drivers scratching their heads have been fixed.

Drivers took pictures after workers relined and painted lanes in the City of Midland.

In two locations, at Eastman and Wackerly and Eastman and Sylvan, drivers noticed that the “n” in “only” was reversed.

Media relations with the city tell TV5 that a contractor was using a new template for the word and the “n” got turned around.

They claim that because of the angle the crews were at they didn’t immediately notice the issue.

The City of Midland claims it became aware of the issue on Monday and both intersections were fixed in about five minutes on Tuesday morning.
