PORTLAND, ME (CBS) -

Imagine dining out, getting your tab, and discovering a hefty service charge already tacked out of your bill.

A Portland, Maine restaurant is doing just that by doing away with tipping.

The owner of Bao Bao Dumpling House said starting in December she plans to do away with tipping. Instead, the restaurant will add an automatic 18-percent service charge to all bills.

Also starting in December, all servers will be given an hourly wage based on their experience starting out at $15 an hour.
