Police seek woman in crash that killed Detroit officer

DETROIT (AP) -

Detroit police say they seeking help finding a person of interest in the hit-and-run death of officer Myron Jarrett.

The Detroit Police Department is asking for help identifying the woman they believe was a passenger in the vehicle that fatally struck Jarrett on Friday night. A man was arrested early Saturday in connection with the deadly crashed. No charges have been filed.

Police said Sunday that the woman may have injured her right arm. They say she is seen on video walking into a store Friday with the man who was arrested.

Jarrett was assisting with the investigation of traffic accident when the crash happened. Police say he was thrown 30 feet. Police say the 40-year-old officer was a married father of four. He had been with the department eight years.
