A deadly collision is leading to an out pour of people pushing one social media app to take down a popular feature.

Footage showing a driver accelerating from 82 miles per hour to over 115 was posted to Snapchat just nine minutes before the crash.

The driver then jumped the median instantly killing himself and four others.

It’s not the first time the app has led to suspected reckless driving.

Now, many say the filter is doing more harm than good.

I think that steps that should be taken are probably to take down some of these filters like the speed filter that doesn't really serve a direct purpose other than to have a user climb an excessive speed,” one person said.

Where do you stand on the matter? Do you think the filter should be taken down?
