CLARE COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

A man was arrested after police say he threatened a group of horse riders with a gun.

Investigators said they received a 911 call on Saturday, Oct. 29 about 5:30 p.m.

Four people were riding their horses in Winterfield Township when police said 46-year-old Paul Vigiano stopped them while in his vehicle and began arguing over trespassing.

Vigiano pulled out a handgun and pointed it at one of the riders, a 52-year-old woman from Marion, during the argument, police said.

He’s been charged with felonious assault and brandishing a firearm in public.

Vigiano posted a $5,000 bond and has been released from jail.
