SAGINAW TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -

A water main break continues to force a road closure and leave some without water.

Saginaw Township crews will be making permanent repairs to the water main near the intersection of S. Center and W. Michigan Avenue. The main was originally installed in the early 1950s and is located under the road.

On Thursday, Nov. 3 crews will close the northbound lane on S. Center Road from W. Michigan to Arboretum Drive from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. to install a new isolation valve on the existing water main. Some water customers in the area will also be without water until the break is repaired.

On Wednesday, Nov. 9, crews will close both north and southbound lanes in the same area from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. while a new section of water main is installed under the road. Water service will not be interrupted to customers in the area during this process.
