MICHIGAN, (WNEM) -

With the election getting one day closer, the candidates are targeting Michigan.

Hillary Clinton will be holding a rally at the Eastern Market on Russell Street in Detroit. Doors open Friday afternoon at 3:15.

The rally starts two hours later.

Former President Bill Clinton made an unannounced visit Wednesday night in Detroit.

He went to a church for a private meeting with clergy, the mayor and others. He focused on getting the black vote for his wife.

Polls show Clinton with a slim lead in Michigan over Republican nominee Donald Trump.

On the Republican side, Donald Trump is sending his family to Michigan to drum up support.

His daughter, Ivanka, is making a stop in Rochester for a Q&A session with the co-chair of the Trump Michigan campaign, Lena Epstein.

This is the second day of Michigan campaigning for Ivanka as she spoke at the Detroit Marriot on Wednesday.

Her brother, Donald Trump, Jr, was in East Lansing on Wednesday to fire up an audience of dozens of mostly black activists.

He reiterated his father's claim that Clinton is corrupt and that a vote for Trump is a vote for change.
