Police search for man in Flint murder

FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

Police are searching for a man considered armed and dangerous in connection with a Flint murder.

Officers responded about 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 7 to the 200 block of W. Philadelphia Boulevard in Flint for a vehicle crash. Upon arrival they discovered the victim, Desmond Savage Jr., had suffered gunshot wounds.

He was taken to Hurley Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

Authorities are now searching for Jacob “Jake” Hawkins-Bivins, 22, for the murder of Savage. Police said Hawkins-Bivins has a tattoo of a cross under his right eye. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately or Det./Tpr. Brett Beardslee at 517-899-3012.
