MID-MICHIGAN (WNEM) -

In the 94th District in Saginaw County, Republican Tim Kelly had no problem against his Democratic opponent, winning by more than 2/3 of the votes.

At a local watch party, Kelly said he was proud to be re-elected to serve what he said will be his final term.

“This is great you know. I feel great the people of the 94th District have confidence in me to send me back to my third and last term as a state representative and I look forward to serving them as best I can the next two years,” Kelly said.

Meanwhile in the 95th District, also in Saginaw County, Democrat Vanessa Guerra easily defeating Republican Dorothy Tanner with 65 percent of the vote.

Guerra is looking forward to her second term where she is hopeful that she can continue what she already learned during her first two years in office.

“For me it's about moving into our second term, we're working on things that we've been working on in our first term. We're only given two years in the house and so a lot of it's just learning the ropes in the beginning, and now I get to move forward on issues that I've been talking about since day one,” Guerra said.

As for the 98th District in Midland County, Republican Gary Glenn was running for his second term, taking on Democrat Geoff Malicoat.

Glenn had no problem there with 60 percent of the vote.
