CHESANING, MI (WNEM) -

A new senior living facility will bring dozens of jobs to a Mid-Michigan community.

Chesaning Comfort Care announced Tuesday a $3.5 million development in the village of Chesaning.

The 32,000 square-foot building will include a specialized memory care area, called MemoryVille, and a dedicated assisted living section, called SunnyVille.

The center will have 40 rooms in total and serve the local community and surrounding areas.

“Facility plans include a very classy exterior elevation, well-designed landscaping plan, an interior courtyard, spa area, salon, clubroom, bistro-style dining, activity room and premium interior work,” according to a state released from Chesaning Comfort Care.

The center is expected to add 25 jobs to the community during the construction phase, 40 full-time jobs once completed and another five jobs indirectly, Comfort Care said.

The new facility is expected to be completed by spring of 2017.

A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled on Nov. 29 at 11 a.m.
