MICHIGAN, (WNEM) -

The Michigan State Police teamed up with Kroger to bring Thanksgiving dinner to dozens of Michigan families.

Ten Kroger stores around the state donated a turkey and sides enough to feed a family of 6-8.

The food will be delivered to 100 families this week ahead of the holiday.

“The Michigan State Police is thankful to be able to work closely with Kroger to provide impactful community programs that benefit our citizens" said Col. Kriste Kibbey Etue, director of the MSP.  With Kroger's support, Troopers will be engaged in several community activities throughout this holiday season."

Participating MSP posts include Lansing, Jackson, Monroe, Brighton, Metro North, Metro South, Flint, Lapeer, Tri-City and Mount Pleasant.
