The Holly Dickens Festival is well underway which means Christmas is right around the corner. Sarah McCartney said without the snowfall it doesn't feel much  like the holidays.

"It's hard to feel like Christmas if it's warm. I'm glad it has cooled off but i wish we would have a nice snow fall," said Sarah Mccanney

Despite the lack of snowflakes. volunteers were determined to keep the holiday spirit alive. they brought in Santa Slavs, horse and buggy rides and a lot of holiday cheer.

Festival organizers brought in snow this weekend for sledding.

If the weather continues, they may not have to bring in snow again. The snowfall finally made it's way to the area on Sunday.

"Oh I love snow! I'm so ready for snow. Nixon and Blitzen love playing in the snow," Jesse Hoskins

"It's a toss up between oh darn - snow. and yea snow! cause it's cold....it's white and it's wet, said Tim Williams

As for Mccanney she hopes next's weekends Holly Dicken's Festival will be covered in snowflakes.

"Having a white winter and a white Christmas is so important to me. It's how it was when I grew up. it's what I remember," said Sarah Mccanney
