MIDLAND COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

A Mid-Michigan was arrested after authorities say he robbed a gas station armed with a knife.

It happened on Friday, Dec. 9 about 12:15 a.m. at the Admiral Gas Station at 1801 S. Saginaw Road in Midland.

Investigators said the suspect, a 46-year-old Midland man, was armed with a knife when he robbed the gas station of an undisclosed amount of money.

He then took off on foot.

About 45 minutes later, police found the man walking within a quarter mile of the station. Police said the man tried to run, but was located after a short foot pursuit.

Police found the knife and money on the man when he was arrested, they said.

He’s currently being held in the Midland County Jail, charged with armed robbery and resisting or obstructing police.

No one was hurt during the robbery.
