The matriarch of a Mid-Michigan business family is still going strong at 95.

She celebrated her 95th birthday this month.

"I enjoy what I'm doing. I try to keep active. I see my family here every day," she said.

Six days a week she is at the kitchen of the Frankenmuth Bavarian Inn Restaurant helping out.

"She's incredible. We're truly blessed as a family and the community of Frankenmuth to have her here for these 95 years of energy and enthusiasm and fired up," Bill Zehnder said.

Dorothy Zehnder was recently featured on the big screen in Time Square.

"I was kind of overwhelmed, I really was. I was in New York. I was there personally, but did I ever think I would be on the billboard? Never," she said.

She started working at the restaurant as a waitress when she was 16. Eventually, she pooled her money with her husband and other family members to buy the restaurant in 1950.

She said it's important to have a positive attitude every day.
