Downtown Midland digs out of the snow, once again

"The top stuff is fluffy. It's where everyone have been walking is packed with ice," said Travis Sweebe

Travis Sweebe busy helping Downtown Midland dig out after getting close to 5 inches of snow Friday night. He said getting out early to shovel, before it gets packed down is important.

"It's hard once there is a lot of foot traffic and getting underneath the snow, but we do our best," Travis Sweebe

Beth Dexter said she is prepared for the next round of winter weather

"I think we are going to get a lot for snow this winter. so its a matter of getting it out so we have room for the rest of it to come," said Beth Dexter

Many people he in midland said they welcome the snow and hope to see even more snowflakes before Christmas. 

"I love the snow. It's Christmas time you have to have a lot of snow at Christmas time," said Marianne Burks

"I hope we get more. Last year was kind low. Only had a few snowstorms so it keeps us busy...it's fun," said Chris Hlavacek

As for  Sweebe he says it's okay if he has to shovel all weekend getting the job done....but safety is key. 

"Take short breaks. don't over work yourself and stay warm," said Travis Sweebe
