GENESEE COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

It’s been a Winter Wonderland in Mid-Michigan over the past few days, much to the annoyance of many who might not like dealing with the fluffy white stuff.

However, Genesee County residents said digging out after the storm just comes with the territory.

“I was not happy after all the snow we just had and there was another six inches in my driveway,” said Cindy Smith, a Flint resident.

More snow, means more trouble on the roads.

The highways and main roads are mostly cleaned up but side streets continue to be an issue.

However, many say they're thankful that Fridays snow storm wasn't any worse.

“It wasn't too bad but the street I live on wasn't plowed,” Terry Brown said.

Smith said she even took matters into her own hands after spotting some trouble on her street.

“A few cars were stuck. I got out and helped a lady and she still get stuck again,” she said.

Even though residents in Mid-Michigan woke up with even more snow, some are choosing to make the most of it.

“Anytime [my kids] can get outside and play in the snow, they love to tease each other and mess around with each other and then even get me too sometimes,” Brown said.

While this winter weather is causing plenty of headaches, some said they're happy as they anticipate a white Christmas.

“It’s going to be a nice Christmas. The last ones we haven’t too much snow, it will be nice to have a white Christmas finally,” Smith said.
