CARROLLTON TWP. MI (WNEM) -

A Carrollton Township man was hit by a car Wednesday morning while looking for his dog on the edge of the road.

It happened just before 7:30 a.m. in the 500 block of Nylon Street.

Investigators said a 48-year-old Carrollton Township woman was driving east on Nylon in a 2013 Buick Century when she hit the man. The woman told police she didn't see him because it was dark in the area.

The man was hit by the front passenger side of the car. He then rolled onto the hood and struck the windshield.

The driver of the car and her front seat female passenger were not hurt.

The man was taken to Covenant Hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.

No citations have been issued at this time.
