MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (AP) -- Josh Kozinski tied a career best with six 3-pointers and scored a career-high 20 points, David DiLeo had a double-double and Central Michigan held on for a 90-82 win over Chicago State on Friday.
DiLeo finished with 16 points -- including a career-high four 3s -- and tied his career-best with 11 rebounds. Braylon Rayson had 18 points, six assist and two steals, Marcus Keene scored 16 with eight assists and Cecil Williams added 15 points. DiLeo hit back-to-back 3-pointers before Rayson made a jumper to give Central Michigan (10-3) an 83-76 lead with three minutes to go. Clemmye Owens V hit a 3 and, after Keene made a layup on the other end, Fred Sims Jr. converted a 3-point play to trim Chicago State's deficit to 85-82, but Williams answered with a 3-point play and capped the scoring with two free throws.
Sims scored 27 while Owens and Trayvon Palmer had 17 points apiece for Chicago State (4-12), which has lost three in a row and eight of its last nine.
