DETROIT (AP) -

Authorities say a five-car crash on a Detroit Freeway that killed two women may have been the result of road rage.

Shelby Seyburn, 22, was killed Saturday along with her friend, a 23-year-old woman from White Lake, in a crash on I-75 in Detroit.

Michigan State Police say the women were passengers in a Jeep Grand Cherokee that struck another vehicle in the southbound lanes. The driver of the Cherokee lost control and the SUV rolled over. The driver of the second vehicle also lost control and struck a van which hit a fourth vehicle.

A fifth vehicle also was struck.

Family said Seyburn’s longtime boyfriend, Ryan, was inconsolable at the scene. They had planned to spend the day biking throughout Detroit.

"He's the love of her life. Sure, he's just...he keeps seeing it over and over...the accident," family said.

State police are still looking for the original vehicle and its driver who caused the wreck.

It’s unclear if that vehicle cut off the Jeep or stopped suddenly.
