Anheuser-Busch's customer service phone number has an option to leave feedback about the company's sponsorship of the NFL.

If you call the company's customer service line (1-800-342-5283), you can press one to leave comments about the NFL. The company added this option on Monday, responding to outcries from customers upset with NFL players protesting during the national anthem. After pressing one, a recorded statement from Anheuser-Busch is played.

It reads,

“At Anheuser-Busch, we have a long heritage of supporting the nation’s armed forces, veterans and military dependents. The national anthem is a point of pride for our company and for the 1,100 veterans we employ. Please feel free to share your feedback after the tone.”

After the recorded statement, you're given the opportunity to leave a message after the beep, giving your thoughts on the company's relationship with the NFL. Bud Light is the official beer of the NFL. According to reports, the company received so many calls, the phone line actually went down for a short time Monday.

Matt Kohan, the company's Senior director of marketing communications, sent out an email clarifying the company's relationship with the NFL, saying "We have no plans to end our NFL sponsorship."

The Anheuser-Busch phone line has always been available for consumer inquiries on a variety of topics, but we are not conducting a survey regarding our NFL sponsorship.

We have many long-term sports partnerships, including our NFL sponsorship, and while we may not agree on everything, we still believe in the power of sport to bring people together and overcome their differences. We have no plans to end our NFL sponsorship.
