BAY COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Authorities say a K-9 officer help track down a suspect accused of leaving the scene of a deadly crash.

The crash happened Friday, Oct. 27 in Bay County.

The Arenac County Sheriff’s Department said K-9 Jagger and his handler Deputy Hribek were asked to assist Bay County deputies in locating a suspect who fled the scene of a fatal crash.

Jagger was able to track and locate the suspect who was hiding under a tree in the woods. Police said the suspect was drunk at the time.

Jagger was recently added to the ranks after his predecessor K-9 Sonic retired.
