BRIDGEPORT, MI (WNEM) -

It's the season for giving, whether it's volunteers offering Thanksgiving dinners or Flint Boxer Anthony Dirrell handing out free turkeys.

One random act of kindness has transformed the holiday for a grieving Mid-Michigan woman.

"It brings back the whole meaning of Thanksgiving to me. It means a lot," said Brandi Williams, Bridgeport resident.

Williams has a new reason to be thankful this holiday season.

"I was rushing out and when I rushed out I stepped on a turkey, some stuffing and some rolls and cheese. And the whole Thanksgiving dinner," Williams said.

A full dinner was left on her porch. The random act of kindness filled her healing heart with love.

"It was a bittersweet moment because my joy has been killed since my mom passed away. This is my first Thanksgiving without my mom so it's been kinda rough," Williams said.

It may be small, but to Williams it was the very thing that rekindled her holiday spirit.

"It made me feel a lot better and it's not even about the food. It's about the kind gesture that someone took the time out to do and that really touched my heart because I needed that," Williams said.

As for who's responsible for spreading the holiday cheer, that's still a mystery.

Williams said she wants that person to know they gave her a lot more than just dinner.

"You can really change someone's life. You can change someone's way of thinking. You can really make someone's day by doing small things like this because this really touched by heart and I wanna thank whoever did it," Williams said.
