GENESEE COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Two Mid-Michigan communities can now use their tap water after a boil water advisory has been lifted.

The Genesee County Water and Waste Services announced at 4:30 a.m. on Dec. 31 that the water order has been lifted for the city of Burton and Davison Township.

The precautionary order was issued for these two communities after a loss in water pressure that happened on Dec. 29.

Water pressure was restored, but the county water and waste services had to conduct a 48-hour test to ensure the water was at safe drinking water standards.
