Williams was arrested in May 2017 after investigators said he hit his wife, Christine, in the head with the blade of an ax as she lay in bed.

Williams then went to work at the Palace of Auburn Hills while his wife lay in bed bleeding profusely. Police said he returned home 14 hours later and finally called for help, claiming he and his wife were victims of a home invasion.

His wife did survive the attack.

Tuscola County Prosecutor Mark Reene said a jury deliberated for approximately 54 minutes.

Sentencing is scheduled for Friday, May 4.
