MT. PLEASANT, MI (WNEM) -

Central Michigan University is making more room to teach health professionals.

The university is hosting a groundbreaking ceremony on a 50,000-square foot building on its north end. The goal for the Center of Integrated Health Studies is to foster team learning across multiple fields of study.

It’s estimated during the next eight years, employment in the health care industry will grow 18-percent, faster than the average for all occupations.

The groundbreaking ceremony is Thursday at 11 a.m.
