Chilling surveillance video shows a gunman making his way through a Michigan business.

It happened about 1:20 p.m. April 16 at the Texas Choice Meats Company on the 27000 block of Schoolcraft in Livonia.

When officers arrived, they met with a victim who said an ex-employee who had been fired earlier in the day had just returned to the business and pointed a gun at him during an argument.

Officers surrounded the business and found the suspect, Michael Shemon, in a parking lot next to the business. As officers tried to make contact with Shemon, he ran into the rear door of a neighboring business.

Shemon then ran through the business and out the door where police took him into custody without incident.

Security footage from the incident shows during an argument Shemon pulled a handgun from his coat pocket, racked the slide, pointed the gun at the victim and said he was going to kill him.

Shemon pulled the trigger, but fortunately, the gun jammed.

Shemon is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, possession of a taser, felony firearm and being a habitual offender.

He was arraigned on April 18 and his bond was set at $750,000 cash or surety.
