SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

Do you have some old pills you don't need any more? A local hospital is taking them back this weekend.

Covenant HealthCare has teamed up with the state's Opioid Prescribing Engagement Network, CMU Health, Saginaw Police Department and the County Department of Public Safety to host a medication take-back event.

You can bring pills, patches, and pet meds, but no needles, inhalers, syringes, or liquids will be accepted.

The take-back program runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday outside the physician office building at 800 Cooper in Saginaw.
