HARRISON, MI (WNEM) -

One student was arrested for giving out marijuana brownies at a Mid-Michigan high school.

On April 27 at 10 a.m., Clare County deputies were called to the Harrison High School for a student that brought pot brownies to school and gave them to other students.

Some of the other students became ill from the brownies.

Deputies arrested an 18-year-old woman who they believe distributed the brownies.

Four other students, three female and one male, were cited for possession of marijuana, eating the brownies, and violating the school’s drug free zone.

A report was sent to the Clare County Prosecutor’s Office for review of all charges.

Undersheriff Dwayne Miedzianowski said the arrested senior student will appear in court for arraignment later this week.
