Man hurt in Sanilac County crash

SANILAC COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

A Michigan man had to be cut from his vehicle after crashing into several trees. 

It happened about 3:50 a.m. Wednesday, May 2 near the intersection of W. Sanilac and Hull Roads in Moore Township.

Sgt. Matt Armstrong said a 54-year-old Snover man was eastbound on W. Sanilac Road when his vehicle went off the north side of the road.

The vehicle went east into a field before it struck an embankment and went airborne, hitting several trees. The man was trapped in his vehicle and not able to call 911.

He was freed by the Jaws of Life and taken to McKenzie Hospital by ambulance. His condition is unknown.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
