Teen arrested for allegedly threatening to 'shoot up' school

SANILAC COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

A teen has been arrested for allegedly threatening to shoot students and staff at a Michigan school. 

Investigators said a resource officer with the Croswell Police Department was alerted Friday, May 4 to a threat made by a student at Croswell-Lexington School District.

Several students reported the student allegedly threatened to get a gun and "shoot up" the school, according to police.

The threat was immediately investigated and a 17-year-old student was arrested.

The teen is currently being held in the Sanilac County Jail.
