Caro fire department needs help locating missing equipment

CARO, MI (WNEM) -

A Mid-Michigan fire department needs the public’s help tracking down a lost piece of equipment.

Nick Britton, a firefighter at the City of Caro Fire Department, said last week the department was dispatched to almost 30 fire calls.

During the hectic weekend, Briton said a “bunker coat” came out of the fire truck while responding to a call on M-46 near Bruisee Road.

“These coats are not cheap and it had several tools attached to it that a firefighter needs to respond to calls,” Britton said in a post shared on the fire department’s Facebook page.

Britton said several people searched the area, but the coat was not found.

If you’ve located the coat, please return it to the City of Caro Fire Department immediately.
