FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

A group of young boys are saying "thank you" to an anonymous donor who paid for their victory meal.

The City of Flint Police Department posted a photo of the group as they enjoyed their meal at Red Robins.

The department said after defeating an older team, Police Activities League Director Officer Kevin Smith decided to take the group of boys to the restaurant for burgers, fries and milkshakes.

After their victory meal, Smith learned their bill had been paid by an anonymous patron.

“The children, Officer Smith, and the Flint Police Department would like to thank that generous donor for their charity and appreciation of the PAL program and Flint Police Department!”

The Flint Police Activities League is youth-serving community organization that works to assist children by enhancing their life skills and education.
