Cash reward offered for information on suspicious death

FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $2,500 for information leading to an arrest in the case involving a suspicious death.

Johnny Mayfield was found dead in a burned out abandoned house in the 200 block of E. Gracelawn Avenue in Flint on May 10.

Mayfield was last seen near his home in the 100 block of E. Baker Street on May 2. That's about two miles away from where he was found.

The fire at the house on E. Gracelawn happened on May 5.

The body was not found at that time, Michigan State Police Lt. David Kaiser said.

A passerby saw the body and called police on May 10, Kaiser said.

Flint police are handling the investigation.
