Authorities in Michigan continue to search a field for the remains of several girls who disappeared in the 1970s and 80s. It's the same area where a convicted child killer buried 13-year-old Cindy Zarzycki after kidnapping and killing her in 1986.

Now, the brother of one missing girls is sharing his story while he waits for answers.

"Now that's what gets ya, is all the times you missed,” said her brother, Brandon Headley. "I miss my sister because I know she'd be my best friend today."

It's been 37 years since Kim Larrow vanished without a trace at 15 years old.

Headley said has never forgotten that day in 1981. Larrow was suddenly gone.

"I remember getting a call. Unfortunately, it wasn't taken as serious as it should have right away,” he said.

His sister's name is making headlines once again as one of the potential victims buried in a Macomb Township field. It's possible Larrow was another victim of Arthur Ream.

"You're overwhelmed with emotion,” Headley said. "I dread thinking about it. If it was this monster."

Headley believes his family made a lot of mistakes with her case.

"Kim was a forgotten child by an extremely selfish family,” he said.

The pain and regret won't go away for Headley, and he wants his sister to know.

"We all should have been there more for you and I'll never forgive myself ever. I believe I'll see Kim again someday. And then I can I'll be able to tell her how sorry I am,” Headley said.

The suspect in the cold cases, Arthur Ream, turned 69 on Wednesday. He is currently serving life in prison.
